How should I go about quitting my guitar lessons?
I have been taking guitar lessons with the same teacher for four years. The lessons are $15 a week for a half hour lesson and at this point I really feel like the lesson are becoming a waste of my time and money and that being self taught would help my playing. I also don't like getting up at 10am every Saturday morning. I really appreciate the teacher and don't want him to be offended by my decision. How should I go about telling him I want to quit?
Too late to take guitar lessons?
I'm an almost 17 year old girl and I'm thinking if taking guitar lessons? Is it too old to start? Shld I feel weird being a beginner at this age?
How to convince my parents to let me take guitar lessons?
They haven't said outright no yet. Every time I ask them, they just look at me and sort of chuckle. I have no idea why they would say no, though. I've played the piano for seven years so far, so quitting the instrument isn't likely. My grades are excellent, so I really can't strike a deal with them in that department. Plus, we own a guitar already my little sister took lessons, needless to say that was a bust . I've told them all of this, too. However, whenever I ask them they still won't give me a straight answer. It's pretty frustrating.
Online guitar lessons?

How much do guitar lessons cost?
I have been self learning for a few months I think it would be a good idea to take a few classes to get me to that next level but non of the web pages have prices they want you to call first. I would just call but I don't feel like being manipulated to take the class if he gives me a price that's to expensive. Thanks.
Should I take guitar lessons?
When I was in middle school, I began taking guitar lessons however, I was never really able to commit to it and eventually just stopped taking lessons. I'm 19 now, and for the past five months or so, I've been practicing on my acoustic guitar in my spare time I don't have an electric . I usually just look up tabs and chords for songs I like, and recently I've been able to freestyle a little here and there. I really enjoy it, but I feel like something's missing. If I could get some guidance on technique and what not, I sense that I could potentially benefit. Obviously it's up to me ultimately, but I was just wondering if I could get some input on whether you think it is worth it to pay for some lessons at this age to give me a bit of a push.
Thinking about giving guitar lessons..how much should I charge?
I'm 18 and in starting think about giving guitar lessons for beginners right now I use to teach at my schools guitar club and I was president until it got cut. I can play a variety of styles such as blues, funk, rock, jazz, gospel, etc.. I have a good knowledge of music theory also. I've arranged several pieces not just for guitar, but string orchestra, and I've played in different bands, and currently in church. So I have a decent background because. I really love teaching and helping others and I think it's a great learning experience. But I'm not really what how much I should charge. Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe 20 hr
What are bass guitar lessons like?
I play bass guitar in my school freshman Jazz Band, and I pretty much know how to play because I play regular guitar outside of school and I take lessons. I am liking bass guitar a lot though, and I am wondering for anyone who has taken bass guitar lessons, what are they like? Do places that offer guitar lessons offer bass guitar lessons? What do you do? Do you think I would enjoy it more than guitar?
Should I quit guitar lessons or does it get easier?
I've paid $250 for a guitar and amp and $150 so far for 2 months of lessons I've only played a month . I recently learned hammer ons and pull offs and the opening to Sweet Home Alabama, but when I play it sounds nothing like the song. I've learned a scale and a few chords but can't remember any off the top of my head without looking at the tabs, which take me awhile to understand how to read them. I practice 30 minutes a day but I don't feel like I'm progressing soundwise. Am I supposed to perfect everything I've learned each week by the next lesson or does it all come together over time?
