Okay,so there is this girl that is 2 years older then me,and she works for the program called " Access" which is a program for people who need help with getting the skills to live on your own.Well I have been taking guitar lessons for about 4 months now,and she wants to take guitar lessons, but they charge her up to like 50 dollars or more, she has this acoustic guitar that she had for a year and never learned how to play it,so I was thinking to give her guitar lessons for like 2 dollars?Do you think that is fair and right?I have a Electric guitarI know these Chords A,3 different ways of doing the A chord,A7,Am,B,B7,c,D,E,Em,F,G,and 2 different ways of doing the F,D,and the E chord.FYI this girl doesn't have the internet
I have just started guitar lessons and need some help!!!!!!!!!?
i had my first classical acoustic guitar lesson today. the teacher asked what music i like and i said stuff like cold play and snow patrol. he was talking about different grades > > rock pop classical and He said i would probably do pop because that is what i listen to and i would find it hard if i didn't listen to what i was playing, but i want to do a mixture of like classical stuff e.g. like Spanish and all that and also some songs i like. how do i tell him that i want to take the classical grades instead of what he thinks i should do????

How should I go about quitting my guitar lessons?
I have been taking guitar lessons with the same teacher for four years. The lessons are $15 a week for a half hour lesson and at this point I really feel like the lesson are becoming a waste of my time and money and that being self taught would help my playing. I also don't like getting up at 10am every Saturday morning. I really appreciate the teacher and don't want him to be offended by my decision. How should I go about telling him I want to quit?
Should I quit guitar lessons or does it get easier?
I've paid $250 for a guitar and amp and $150 so far for 2 months of lessons I've only played a month . I recently learned hammer ons and pull offs and the opening to Sweet Home Alabama, but when I play it sounds nothing like the song. I've learned a scale and a few chords but can't remember any off the top of my head without looking at the tabs, which take me awhile to understand how to read them. I practice 30 minutes a day but I don't feel like I'm progressing soundwise. Am I supposed to perfect everything I've learned each week by the next lesson or does it all come together over time?
Do guitar lessons make that much of a difference?
I bought a bass guitar this christmas and since i dont have a job at the moment i havent been able to get lessons, however not a day has passed since ive bought it that i havent played it for at least 2 hours. im pretty much self taught now and i can play intermediate songs fairly well. clearly I have A LOT left to learn and im no where near where i want to be. so my question is would it make that big of a difference if i started getting lessons or should i just continue the way i have been teaching myself with the help of books and youtube and other sites.
